The Group of Astrodynamics for the Use of Space Systems (GAUSS) is a limited liability company based in Rome carrying on the more than twelve-year-old tradition of the Scuola di Ingegneria Aerospaziale in the field of microsatellites. When, in 2012, the University group became a private company, it evolved from a merely didactical dimension into an innovative reality.
Active in the space technology field, its aims are research, development and the implementation of aerospace projects, plus related educational initiatives.

GAUSS gained valuable experience from several differently shaped and sized satellites’ launches. The Company designs and manufactures micro, nano, pico and femto satellites, intended as CubeSat, PocketQube and releasing platforms such as GPOD (GAUSS Picosatellites Orbital Deployer) and MRFOD (Morehead Rome Femtosatellites Orbital Deployer).

Besides, GAUSS has innovated the idea of launch provider, making its micro satellites series – UniSat Program – a releasing platform for nano satellites, as well as a carrier of fixed payloads.
