This book collects the papers presented during the 3rd IAA Conference on University Satellite Missions & CubeSat Workshop held in Rome in 2015. Like its previous two successful editions of 2011 and 2013, the goal of this Conference was to provide relevant information on University satellites, opening an international forum on the satellites community topics. It was addressed to researchers, professors and students from all over the world. The volume is articulated in ten technical sessions collecting the work of about 80 participants coming from 30 countries to share their knowledge about the main issues of designing, developing and launching micro and nanosatellites. 2nd IAA Conference on University Satellites Missions & Cubesat Workshop. This book collects the papers given at the 2nd IAA Conference on University Satellites Missions and Cubesat Winter Session in Europe, with the aim to give an overview of the activities of the universities, the civil and military institutions, the industries in developing micro, nano, pico, femto satellites for didactical and research purposes and technological applications. The conference and the workshop gathered more than 150 participants from more than 20 countries in 14 technical sessions (6 for the Conference, 7 for the Cubesat Workshop and 1 special session for the launch systems opportunities). 1st IAA Conference on University Satellite Mission & Cubesat Workshop. This book collects the papers given at the 1st Conference on University Satellites Missions of the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) and the First IAA Cubesat Winter Workshop in Europe with the aim to give an overview of universities and research institutions activities in University Satellites design. Developing and launching small university satellites, and in particular CubeSats, with low costs makes possible to bring them as educational tools in the classrooms of many universities and even of some high schools. The conference and the workshop gathered 253 participants from 25 countries in 14 technical sessions (7 for the Conference and 7 for the Cubesat Workshop). The papers are divided by technical sessions. Special sessions have been dedicated to the Ulisse Project and to the UniSat Program. This volume represents final papers from the third Mission Idea Contest for Micro/Nano Satellite Utilization (MIC3). The primary goal of MIC is to inspire new and innovative approaches to space exploration and exploitation. Prior to the 3rd contest, the Pre-workshop for the 3rd Mission Idea Contest was held in Tokyo, Japan in November 23, 2013 as a match-making event for potential satellite users and developers.
